- At 05:00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Marsa Alam and drive to Edfu for almost 3 hours. On arrival, proceed to visit the Horus temple at Edfu, the best preserved temple in Egypt, and dedicated to the falcon god Horus, built in the Ptolemaic period between 237 and 57 BC. The inscriptions on the temple walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Greco-Roman period in ancient Egypt. There are also important scenes and inscriptions of the Sacred Drama. It related to the age old conflict between Horus and Seth.
- Lunch at local restaurant, then transfer to see the Temple of Kom ombo, it is stands beside the River Nile. Unlike other temples in the Nile valley, the Temple was divided between two gods and everything is perfectly symmetrical along the main axis. The southern half, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor and Khonsu. While, the northern half, dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris, also known as Horus the Elder, along with Tasenetnofret “a special form of Hathor” and Panebtawy. After finished, transfer back to your hotel in Marsa Alam.
