History Of Port Safaga

The Post Safaga town was found in 282 BC and was originally called ‘Philotera’ during Greek era. And later it became a trading post during Islamic era.

Due to its unpolluted atmosphere, black sand-dunes and mineral springs, the resort town have been known to provide remedy of rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.

Although, this small and thriving tourism town specialises in water sports such as scuba diving, windsurfing and so on. Once, it was a popular merchant hub and now continuing its legacy, nowadays Port Safaga is a popular Tourist Attraction In Egypt.
